Bologna International Vocal Competition

For the first round of auditions (video), singers will be judged on musicality, not audio quality of
the recordings. Although, note that extremely poor audio quality may make it impossible for
judges to accurately assess the abilities of the performer.

For the in-person portion of the competition (in Bologna, Italy), vocalists will be judged on
beauty of tone, pitch, technical abilities, expression, collaborative interaction, and stage
presence, all of which we deem important qualities when performing professionally.
